Progress!

I joined SP in 2008 when I needed to make a change and lose about 50 lbs. I did it! And I kept it off for several years. But recently i've let fitness and nutrition slip from my priorities list (plus I spent 4 months in America with access to Oreos!), and find myself back here again with another 50 lbs to lose.

This time around, I'm trying to do my fitness in a more sustainable way (i.e. not at the gym 20 miles away).

Instead, I'm doing it through:

- a program of running (like C25K)
UPDATE: I ran my first 5K on Aug 26, 2012!!! More to come!
- yoga
- home strength training.
- cooking and eating HEALTHY vegan meals at home

I'm hoping these will be the modifications that help me to be successful at maintaining a healthy lifestyle this time around.

My Program:
I'm tracking my nutrition, trying to eat around 1300 calories per day. Trying to burn between 200-300 calories per day through vinyasa yoga and interval jogging, as well as building strength through home-based weight lifting.

We are in Lacrosse. Not too far, bout 4 hours, we travel all over the state for fun and family get togethers. I hope you get the job! Milwaukee is a GREAT city! So cultural and diverse. Let me know what happens! Good LUCK!
