I'm a creative person who enjoys designing and creating jewellery, spending time with my awesome 19 year old son Timothy, watching films with my wonderful fiance Geoff; playing with & walking our dogs Dexter & Max; the beach, wine, meeting new people, travelling, reading, the arts, walking, painting, crafts, swimming, knitting, sunshine, dinner parties, art, Facebook, flowers.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes in August 2012. I am very disappointed in myself for letting myself get to this point. But now I am more focused on being healthy and losing weight.

Fitness Minutes: 1,929

My Goals:
Basically I am aiming to get healthier - lose weight, get fitter and feel good about myself - who I am within and how I look on the outside. I am aiming to gain more self-confidence also.

My ultimate weight-loss goal is to get down to at least 80kgs (176pds) by Christmas day in 2014. Less would be good, but I'll stick with that goal weight for now! IF I get to this goal before that date, FANTASTIC!

I want to lose weight and inches slowly so it will all stay off for good!


My Program:
I'm using SparkPeople to track my food, nutrition & exercise, as well as monitoring my weight & measurements, and I'm setting realistic personal goals.

I'm posting on the messageboards, reading the fabulous variety of articles written by the SP team and I'm writing blog entries - all for motivation and inspiration.

I have yo-yoed over the past few years. Grr!

119kgs (262pds) - Dec 31st 2011 (my heaviest weight ever (other than pregnancy)

115.9 (255pds) - Jan 12th 2012

119.8kgs (264pds) - July 2012

112kgs (246pds) - Oct 2nd 2012.

116kgs (255pds) - January 2013 (SIGH)

115.5kgs (254pds) - July 2013

117.1kgs (258pds) - January 2017 (OMG!!)

I'm a creative, artistic person who is currently living on the North Shore, in Auckland, New Zealand.
