Working hard on the last 18 pounds.

Well, my Sept. 1/12 goal has come and gone and I still am struggling to get the last of my weight off. I switched weight loss support groups because of the cost, as I need the accountability. I have set a new goal for myself of April 1/14

My Goals:
My goal is to continue losing my weight before I become incapacitated by my health. I am very mobile and am taking charge of my actions.

My Program:
I am currently following Weight Watchers. I have been there before and lost 80lb. but did not change my eating habits completely and the weight returned. I am tracking my points for weight watchers as well as what I am eating and my physical activity on my Sparks tracker. Nov/11 I joined Goodlife Fitness for women and so far have been going 4 times a week.

Personal Information:
I am and have been married for 37 years and have 3 sons and 8 grand children and a small Havanese dog. I live in Ontario and retired about a year ago. We plan to spend Jan., Feb., and March in Destin Fl. Hopefully I can play tennis, I will walk, ride my bike , do the zumba classes available at the complex and possibly go to Gold's gym to continue with Les Mills workouts.

Other Information:
I enjoy camping(in a trailer of course), sewing, some knitting and reading. I recently got a Kobo ereader and am enjoying it. I enjoy books by Danielle Steele, Debbie McComber, Nicholas Sparks, Nora Roberts and weight loss and fitness articles.

Hi There, Hope all is well in your world. I had posted 72 days ago on here that I was 4 lbs to goal.. Well, as of last Tuesday, I was 4 lbs to goal. In between gained 4 lbs back and have battled to get back down here again. My body does not really appreciate being in the 160's! I've been exercising lots, though and have added some strength training and I've made great strides (no pun intended) on the treadmill as now I'm running on there and doing 2 1/2 to 3 miles per workout and really enjoying it. I rarely come on here right now (just the odd time) but hope all is well with you, Sharon

Hope things are good for you - I'll get my act together and get an email off. I just haven't been here on Sparkpeople very much but, I do check in sometimes, and come on here to update my weight periodically - also love reading people's blogs and success stories especially if I'm having a difficult day!
