Hello, My name is Sorcha [Keltik_Heart]. After reaching my highest all time weight of 235 over the winter of 2012, I was miserable and filled with aches and pains. It was my 60th year on earth and I felt like I was 90! So, I simply committed to myself to change the way I ate - completely. As a pre-emptive strike on the exercise front, I got a treadmill so I would have no excuses not to at least walk.

Between Aug. 1, 2013 and May 24, 2014, I lost 65 lbs; after a brief break from my routine this summer to move from the East coast back to the West coast, I've now set a new personal goal to lose 20 more lbs by my 62nd birthday (on Thanksgiving), for a total of 85 lbs gone for good.

Family life: I'm married to my Anam Cara (Soul Mate) and we have been together for 17 years. Our kids are of the fur variety: two rescue kitties - Binnie (Tuxedo), and Olwyn (Tortie). My husband is from Wales and I'm from California, and we currently reside in San Diego.

Other things: I love to design and make jewelry, read, spend time on the internet, study Celtic culture and history, sing and record songs in Scots Gaelic, watch movies, walking and working out, exploring Southern California and traveling to Europe.

Lose the final 20 lbs by my 62nd Birthday on Nov. 28, 2014!!!

Goals Achieved:

* 65 lbs gone!

* Got to 170 by April 26!

* Reached 60 lb weight loss.

*Lost 10 more lbs between Feb. 16 and Mar. 29, 2014.

*Lost 10 lbs between Jan. 4 to Feb. 15.

*Reached 50 lb loss 2/15/14.

Long term:

To reach & maintain for life a weight that I deem healthy and attractive.


My Program:
Designed my own program based on the elimination of processed carbs, including ALL grains, whole or not. Now I eat a portion controlled amount of healthy protein: organic eggs, fish, and chicken; nuts and cheese in moderation; berries and apples; plain greek yogurt; dark green veg.
