~*~It's time to be me~*~

I chose the name Kensho because the word has a powerful personal meaning to me.

Kensho means: Seeing into one's own nature; first experience of realization and enlightenment.

That is where I am in life. I just turned 40 and I am going to make 2013 the year I find a deeper understanding of who I am. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 16 years and while this has been a blessing for me, it's time to get to know myself again, as Nikki not Mom. I have just ...

That is where I am in life. I just turned 40 and I am going to make 2013 the year I find a deeper understanding of who I am. I have been a stay at home mom for the past 16 years and while this has been a blessing for me, it's time to get to know myself again, as Nikki not Mom. I have just started this process and I know that as I progress I will get healthier in mind, body and spirit.

This is not my first time on Spark People, it's my third. I am a very different person with very different priority's and goals this time though. I am excited and focused and in my mind that makes me unstoppable.

Thank you SO much for your comment on my "Strong" blog last week!

I didn't think your post is pushy AT ALL, and of course, you're right that $5 here and there will not break me.

Crying IS healing, definitely. In fact, I don't think I've been crying enough, since I've been trying to stay strong for everyone.

It sounds like you had a similar relationship with your dad that I did. So many women don't seem to have good relationships with their fathers, and it makes me sad.

Hey, thanks for your comment on my status. I had thought about the possibility of detoxing being the culprit too, and it may be, but I've gone sugar-free before, and I've never, ever, had my face freak out like this. I feel like I'm a teenager again! LOL (though I'm not laughing at all really).

And I just have to say that I am also accepting the things I cannot change in my life...I hope this acne isn't one of them LOL
