Making the journey...

I'm 51, on the go with a busy career that requires a lot of travel; committed to success, but self-aware enough to know I do best when working with others. Convinced I'll meet my goals with the right mindset and support. Could use the help!

Since I've started, I'm now also dealing with a divorce. I have great staff/friends who supported me and we all did a 5k together.

My Goals:
I've battled my weight all my life. Several years ago I took up a new sport and got into great shape. After an injury, an expanded job, and a million other reasons, I've gotten heavy again and out of shape. My goal is to be healthy, active, and feel that great feeling when you know people are shocked at your actual age -- in a good way!

My Program:
Changes with my schedule and energy, but includes ensuring I'm doing things I like. Used C25K to start running (successfully!). Starting strength training more regularly now. Tracking food/activity makes ALL the difference!

Personal Information:
I'm originally from New England, but have spent the past 11 years in Colorado. I love the water, so I trek to the beach at least a couple times each year. I like being active, being outdoors, and being challenged.

Just checking in to see how you are doing? Congrats on the 5K. A 5K is one of my goals for this year..and since this year is almost half over I better get to it. I think I'll try the C25k team. I want to try the Run the Rocks on Oct. 16th.

The easiest way to stay on track with everything your are doing is to never use the word diet! It is one of those bad four letter words in my opinion and they do not work for long.

Just remember what we are all having to do is adopt a complete lifestyle change and that goes with our eating habits especially.
