My name is Kristen and I am 28. I would like to be under 200 lbs by January 2015. I want to lose the weight so that I can feel good about myself, live a long healthy life and to prove to myself that I can do this. I started my fitness journey back in January 2012 and it's been a rough ride, but I'm willing to keep on going.

Hi Kristen! I read a comment you left on the OA message board...I totally related to what you said about the insane logic of overeating because you are sad that you can't lose weight. I have been doing that also and it was gotten out of control. I am to the point where I have been gaining a pound or more every few days. My weight has been skyrocketing. I've gained 25+ lbs of weight that I lost last year in the last 6 months, and probably at least 10 of that in the last month or so. I am new to the idea of trying OA but am familiar with the program, as I have an alcoholic in my family and with through Al Anon before (for family members) which has the 12 steps also. I am hoping this can be a new beginning for me. I am 29, have a 5 year old, I am 235 lbs and in the obese BMI and I just can't keep doing this. I have been trying to lose weight since I was about 16 or so, and my weight just keeps going up, up, up! Hope we can share stories and become support for each other.

Good evening to my new emoticon . I did a walk/jog on the Woodrow Wilson Bridge this afternoon. Most of it was jogging. I was very proud of myself, because I usually start of walking, but it was jogging and I did a great distance before I start walking. I'm still trying to decide if, I'm going to do a emoticon next Saturday. Last year I cross the line in last place. I will not have anyone with me this time. I would be going solo.
