Hi, I'm Kathryn. I've finally accepted the fact that losing weight is no longer the easy process it used to be when I was younger. The combination of menopause and mid-life crisis threw me into a depression . I turned to food for comfort and the pounds started to creep up. Initially I was looking for the perfect diet or "magic pill" to lose the weight. Thankfully a health crisis brought me to my senses and with much support and prayers I got on track with a healthy lifestyle. Been a member of SP since Aug 2008 and it has been a blessing. It helps me stay on course from one day to the next and gives me the accountability which was sorely lacking before.. Each morning I say to myself "How can I honor God today?" Part of that requires that I put healthy food in my body (His Temple) and keep as fit as I can. I find that the more my perspective and attitude line up with His will the easier it is to live a healthy life - but I have a long way to go still.

My Goals:
Achieve a normal BMI ; make exercise a daily habit;
control binge eating and get off of BP medication.

My Program:
Meal planning is the cornerstone of my program. I use the food tracker to help me stay in my calorie range. Exercise includes Strength Training and cardio 5-6 days per week. Stress reduction techniques to avoid binging.

Personal Information:
I am a transplanted New Yorker now living in FL. Eager to pursue a new career in health and wellness.

Other Information:
Favorite book is The Bible. I love music, reading and learning to live calmly and peacefully in the techno-crazy 21st century.

Hi Kathryn, thank you so much for the spark goodie. Hope you and your family have a Blessed Thanksgiving also.
Lilly is doing better, she is scared but hoping with being so young they will fade as she gets older. She is still skiddish around dogs and some nites has bad dreams or night terrors. They are also wondering if her speech has been affected by all this and they are going to have that issue checked out. She is such an adorable, loving child, just hope she will heal inside and outside as she gets older.
