I'm betting that I'm just abnormal enough to survive.

I'm actually here to gain weight. Actually, to gain it back. My personal and work life over the last couple of months has been stressful enough to cause me to shed 10 pounds-10 pounds that I'd worked for almost 10 years to put on. And I want them back.

Background: I've always been tall and thin. When I took my Army entry physical, I was 6'2" and 142 pounds. When I graduated college and got my commission, I was up to 162. A year later, when I shipped out to Germany, after a ...

Background: I've always been tall and thin. When I took my Army entry physical, I was 6'2" and 142 pounds. When I graduated college and got my commission, I was up to 162. A year later, when I shipped out to Germany, after a year of Infantry school training, I was up to the 170s.

And there I stayed, despite eating plenty of starchy, greasy Army food and plenty of work in the weight room, for the better part of a decade.

About 18 months ago, I finally made it into the 180s. And my wife said I looked damn hot. And I was maxing the APFT at the same time, so all was good.

Then the stress hit, I stopped eating and working out, and 10 pounds disappeared. I want them back.

The sweater pic is my motivation. I have 4 months of TDY, in the winter, at Carlisle Barracks, PA, where the duty uniform is Class B. Which means, to stay warm, I have to wear one of those godawful sweaters. I'm tall. I'm skinny. Black is a slimming color. All of which combines to make me look freakishly thin.

Hey there....I chuckled at your comment on my blog....
I hear you re: Movement to Contact...prepping units for mob on a regular enough basis makes it a common acronym. I think I'll take Making the Cut over Movement to Contact any day!
Hope your New Year has begun positively....and that the other half is kicking arse at Ft Lost in the Woods...
