LIFE AT 40 SOMETHING

Someone asked me the other day " why do movies always show nurses eatting" My reply "Because that is what we do, all the time" Needless to say this has led me to my current situation in which I NEED to lose weight for the first time in my life. Somehow after fourty I can no longer eat like I am 20.

I have been struggling for the last few months. I will do really well one day and then the next couple of days I really blow it. I always have an excuse as to why I am eating. ...

I have been struggling for the last few months. I will do really well one day and then the next couple of days I really blow it. I always have an excuse as to why I am eating. Bored, stressed, tired, habit, excited, needless to say the only thing that was not on that list was hungry. I learned over the last couple of months that I eat as a means for comfort and not nourishment. I am still working on changing my eating habits and eating healthier foods that will sustain me longer.

My Goals:
I would like
**to loose 32 lbs
**run 5K
**build strength
**have more energy
**eat a better diet.

My Program:
I agreed to run a 5K with a friend. I knew this was crazy since I hate running, but I am dedicated to meeting this goal. I have decided to use RunKeeper on my cell phone it is a free app and it has been really helpful. Every other day I am training for that. I also am currently using body 4 life on my off days which really work well together since body 4 life has you doing 20 min of cardio every other day. So far this week I have really enjoyed working out, probably more than I thought. Now I am scheduling "Me" time into my schedule so I can accomplish my fitness goals.

Personal Information:
40 something year old eager to reach diet and fitness goals.

Other Information:
My favorite book is by Wally Lamb
Shes come undone.

My favorite movie is Blue Crush.

Being able to get up on surf board is on my bucket list.
