If your test shows you have a bacterial infection going on, that is most likely it. A lower carb diet with fruits and veggies should not cause that much distress as with a diet full of fiber from grains. In addition, chills are not usually common with extra fiber in the diet, but with a bacteria infection. Take your Dr's advice and than go from there. Since I have significantly reduced the amount of grains in my diet, my GI distress is less.
Hi, Kim! I saw your post on the main forum about being sick to the stomach. Hope you're feeling better. I'm not aware of anything common in a low carb eating plan that would cause this, but some of the other experts on my main team, Living Low Carb, might. All low carb plans are more than welcome (even if you're developing your own general plan rather than following a specific format). We have a number of people who have lost 100+ pounds (with and without surgery).
