The rabbit has become a turtle.

Hi! I've been on Spark since July of 2009 and had some results. Currently, I am kind of stuck and trying to keep a positive attitude. I'm hypothyroid, and changes happen so slowly that I sometimes get bored with it. I've lost 19 pounds so far, but now I'm down to a crawl. This is the tough part, but it really helps to know that others face similar things on their journey too. Thanks for stopping by and helping me persevere. I hope that you find a way of getting to your spark goals too.

My Goals:
Enter a summary of your goals, or just a few you would like to share. I would love to have a healthy BMI. There are serious health issues in my family history, and I am locked in a fight not to develop these.

My Program:
Give an overview of what you are doing to meet your goals. Spark people meal plans are helping me immensely. I have dropped from 150, when I was first beginning this journey at my doctor's office, down to 131. I'm stuck at a plateau now and am trying not to backslide.

Personal Information:
Where you are from, your name, your email address. NOTE: everything on this page is optional, you can enter as much or little as you like. If you enter something like your email address, remember it can be seen or found by anyone on the internet. My name is Kellie, and I am a farm wife. We raise animal welfare approved beef, chickens, and rabbits.

Other Information:
Anything else you would like to tell people. Could include things like your favorite books or movies, a quote, anything. I am wonderfully in love with my 5 equine children, Kimmie, Ellie, Isabelle, Babe, and Truffle. The 3 adults have all been rehabbed from either abuse or neglect. I believe that God has sent them to heal my life. They are the greatest blessing to me. My favorite book is the Bible. It is one of the few places that you can still go to "hear" the voice of God. I think that making a lifestyle change is a slow process, and you can't always see the good that you are doing immediately. Therefore, you have to believe that something positive will come from your work. Believe, take heart, and have faith!

Hi! I added you today, be my friend? xD!! Hope your wintering well, wherever you are. I wish I had horses! I have the space for it. I wouldn't know the first thing to do first! I know they need fresh water everyday and straw and grain and shelter and the barn needs to be scraped out everyday... other than that, I guess I don't know how to work with them. They are sure beautiful tho. We used to have horses here, at my father in laws. But I never rode cause to me they just didn't look tame or like you could ride them. Anyway, have a blessed day! Best, Brennrenn emoticon

Kimmie...thank you so much for the dinner goodie!
This is my last night shift and D.H. made some couscous for a side dish for me. I'm still learning what all to put in it. He made himself a cold noodle type salad with peas, ham, cheese and onions. I've had that before and it's very good. But I didn't want any added calories with the Smart Balance mayo even though it is supposed to be better than the regular mayo. I'm really trying hard to eat raw 70% of the time and super healthy the rest.
Work has been pretty hectic so I'm looking forward to three days off.
I've done very well at exercising this week which is crazy being I work 12 hours/day and have an hour travel time. But the pool I stop at is half way between work and home so that is what saves me.
Have a good Thursday Evening.

My horse Jill Lee is an Arabian mix. I forget now what the Mix was.
She's was pretty spoiled as most all animals. LOL
My neighbor got custudy of his teenage daughter and begged for me to sell her. Being my kids had grown up I agree'd so she'd get more attention being I work 12 hour/day. She's doing well.
Your horses are sure pretty. I like your farm.
I hope you have a great week.
