HI! My name is Kirsten. I have been dieting and binge eating since I was a teen. I am truly an expert on the subject. My weight as an adult has never been stable.
Now, I am 52 years old, obese, and I have depression, disordered eating, and high blood pressure. Diabetes runs in my family. It's time to get off the diet roller coaster. I am changing my lifestyle from dieting to healthy living, permanently. I am worth it!
To weigh 199 (Onederland!)
To no longer need high blood pressure medication
No binge eating
7+ servings fruits/veggies
Limit red meat, poultry, dairy and eggs
8+ glasses H20
Minimal sugar/junk food
Plan healthy snacks
Always eat breakfast
10 minutes a day to establish a habit of exercising
Strength training 2X week
No diet talk
Positive self talk and goal review for 5 mins daily
Meditate 10 mins daily
I am 52, married, and live in Portland, Oregon. I am a Special Ed. School Bus Driver.
I am an animal person (I especially love cats) and a nature lover. I like movies, TV, reading, crafts, the internet, science, art and music. I love true crime books and shows.
Pets: 2 cats, a small dog (chihuahua/Jack Russell terrier mix) and a pet Greek tortoise (Testudo marginata).
I don't have any children, but I babysit my niece (age 4) and nephew (age 5) 2 days a week.
I love to hike and walk in nature, especially on the beach.
I paint rocks for a creative outlet.
I am obese, have binge eating disorder, depression, high blood pressure,and psoriasis. My mom recently got diagnosed with diabetes... and I am NOT going to develop it!
I want to feel better, younger, and be healthier and happier!
