Curse it - I want to look nice in clothes before I am too old.

I am shocked by my current weight, when I checked it against my last SP weigh in of just under a year ago I felt so angry with myself.

So I try again. It's all I can do.

Hi!

Your walk sounds grand - getting lost is actually fun really, isn't it? You sound like Heidi on an adventure in the countryside, following the brook to guide your way home. Or am I romanticising just a little here, having only the option of urban forests myself?

I try to go for a walk whenever I can but as I work from home now I have to spend a lot of time sitting on my backside or I'm not getting any work done. Times like these I will walk around my house until I have my full mileage. Sometimes it takes over an hour but it keeps my fitness levels at a reasonable level while I am not doing my hardcore cardio and because it's not so intense I tend to not get anywhere close to as hungry this way.

Eating clean for me doesn't mean no pasta - I do still eat pasta but instead of the recommended 75g portion, I will cook 50g of spaghetti and also have a whole spiralated courgette too. This results in a HUGE bowl of "pasta" for very few calories. Eating clean is more just eating good stuff. If I am hungry, I can eat whatever I like and however much I like as long as it is righteous food. I never go hungry this way (I wouldn't recommend approaching me when I am hungry lol) and being allowed a portion of pudding, a chocolate bar and a free meal a week means that if I am desperate for anything I dont have to wait too long. What actually tends to happen is that by cake day (usually Friday evening) I find it hard to choose because I am not actually that bothered!

Oooh holidays! I hope you have a great time. I've never been to the Isle of Wight, I don't know much about it apart from the fact Alan Titchmarsh was a sheriff there and I don't suppose that information is useful to you is it? As for the bikini body, it reminded me of this!

Hey!

Friday weigh in was pretty effing awesome actually - 4lbs down this week. I bloody deserve every last lb too. No my elliptical is still broken, for exercise I walk. I do this anyway - I have a fitbit and I have walked 5 miles every day this year but I don't usually track this as exercise when I am doing my elliptical work too because it confuses spark people and they tell me off for burning too many calories. Almost 2.5 hours of exercise a day does seem a bit excessive I guess lol. I do track it when I don't do my cross training though, hence why I am still racking up fitness minutes.

How do you feel on the days where you skip two meals? Are you hungry all day?

I have changed the way I eat now and it seems to be working for me. I worked out the stuff I miss most as I am not very good at deprivation. That is junk food style meals once in a while, chocolate and cake. So I have one free evening meal a week where I eat whatever I like (I don't like junk food that much though so I usually just share a frozen pizza with my boyfriend), a portion of any kind of pudding once a week (usually cake, I'm a sucker for a piece of cake) and one chocolate bar a week. I eat *completely* clean for the rest of the time though, usually around 1400 cals with lots and lots of protein and veggies. It's working so far!

Hope you're well,

Lily x

Hello!

Kicking August's ass seems to be going well. I will know properly when I weight in on Friday. I try not to let the scales rule me but goddam them they still do!

Is the 5:2 still working for you? And when you limit your alcoholic drinks to once a week is it ok to carry on if you just never stop? Because I could certainly go in for that ;) Are you in a general rut with weight loss at the moment? I go through that at the very least once a month so you're certainly not alone.

And no, my elliptical is still sitting in the corner in a soggy, deflated heap awaiting mechanical intervention. It's quite sad really but it should be fixed soon.

In a word, no. It did not work trying to convince my boyfriend to swim with me. He does have really thick and really long dreads though which kinda soak up the water and weigh him down. I should stop laughing at my loved ones in the pool, maybe this is why I am destined to swim alone. In other news though, I FOUND A LIDO! It's in Droitwich which is a bit further than I should have to go for an al fresco dip but still. Current plan is to descend on it on Saturday with Alice in Wonderland, if she can keep her isht together!

How did you spend this gorgeous weekend? I went to Tewkesbury Medieval festival and it was so nerdy and awesome but I have been melting ever since. I'm praying for snow. A big ask in July, I guess.

Wow, that does sound posh, you can tell you're from the south. The best we got up here in the West Midlands was a dunk in the cut and a Slade tape.

Did you manage to persuade your boyfriend to join you for a swim? I'm really stupid in that I tend to only go swimming in the winter when the water is horrible and cold, I might try to go but my usual swimming pal has only just recovered from labyrinthitis so screams if anything goes near her ear. This is hilarious, and probably not conducive to safe swimming in deep water. I might have to work on persuading my boyfriend to join me too.
