A wake up call!

So, this is my 3rd time around with SP. But it is my most successful. Finally, I've decided to change my lifestyle to a healthy lifestyle instead of dieting. People ask me all the time if I'm dieting and I tell them,"No." I'm eating healthier and exercising for the first time in my life.

By admitting this, it has made a big difference. There are no forbidden foods, therefore, I don't feel the need to sneak any foods. Also, I have set goals and rewards for each goal, and put ...

Also, I have set goals and rewards for each goal, and put them in print! This gives me something to look forward to. ( I can't think of a reward for 80 pounds. Can anyone help? I figure it will be around December.)

Here are my reward goals. I figure this will help keep me motivated:

20 pounds lost: Buy Chef Meg's cookbook.

40 pounds lost: Pedicure

60 Pounds lost: Whiten teeth.

80 pounds lost: Help??

100 pounds lost: massage

120 pounds lost: Outfit at Johnson Woolen Mill.

My Program:
My husband and I are sitting down and figuring out a menu for the week. We are also trying at least one new healthy recipe a week.

Other Information:
I love to read.
God is my strength...I put all my faith in him.

Hey girl....sorry I have been MIA....had a VERY busy and stressful summer lol. Still chugg'in along. Doing good with eating again! Back to trying to only have one fast carb per meal and get in my protein & water. Not always easy, but so far so good.
How are things with you? I hope you're feeling better and doing well! Hope to see you around soon!

Hi Karen!

Sorry it's taken me so long to respond. My email got lost and I didn't see your response until today. Things are still going crazy in my life, but I'm loving it and having a really good time. I just can't seem to find the time for Spark People any more which is a real shame. I miss the people on here like you and I try to stay in touch with you and Fairyanne. Her daughter is going through cancer like my mom so we have a lot to talk about. My boyfriend moved in permanently last night so I have him here all the time now. I didn't think I'd want him here, but I've found I really enjoy his company. We just adopted a baby kitten together we named Luigi. He is adorable. I'll have to post a picture on my page. I wanted to say hi before I have to run to counseling and go to work. I have 6 weeks left of my internship and then it's back to classes again. I've really enjoyed working and I hope to turn this into a part time job. I have to petition the Major about it when I get the chance. She's a scary lady so I have to be on my best behavior. I'll write more soon, but for now I must go. Thank you for writing and you are often in my thoughts and always in my prayers. Love you lots!
