Continuing on the Journey

I thought it was time to freshen my information. I found Spark People in 2009 but ignored it. Then I was ready to look at it again in 2010. Like many, I didn't jump all in. I poked around on the site for the entire month of January and truly started in February 2010. That year I lost 20 pounds and had 5 more to go to hit my weight loss goal. So close!

I thought it was time to freshen my information. I found Spark People in 2009 but ignored it. Then I was ready to look at it again in 2010. Like many, I didn't jump all in. I poked around on the site for the entire month of January and truly started in February 2010. That year I lost 20 pounds and had 5 more to go to hit my weight loss goal. So close!

Like so many, I gained half my weight back when I became sporadic in following the steps that had worked so well for me. It's hard to know just what the problem was - was I lazy, or was it simply I didn't want to lose weight as much as I wanted to eat whatever I wanted (I believe it was the later)? I regained 10 pounds and have held onto that weight with a little effort on my part.

So, I'm back at it again. I've changed a few things up because this plateau is not where I want to live the rest of my life. Paying attention to the nutritional aspect of my weight loss more closely than ever before. Making sure I keep moving my body. I have great plans for 2015! By the end of the year I will see these last 12 pounds GONE!

Thanks for dropping emoticon I was having similar issues with SP. The newest pop up ads were freaking out my phone and sending it all over the place. I finally cleared off all the cookies and Internet data off my phone. Turned it off and back on and so far it's been back to normal. Yeah!! But I'm still not on here as much either. I've been using my Grid Diary App to track because I can control what I want to track and calories is not on my list.

2016 is finally the first year in my adult (post 30) life that I've found peace and balance. My only New Year's resolution was to clean my kitchen as I go, so I never wake up to big giant mess. I'm building momentum in my journey to optimize my health by being more mindful of my choices and keeping the promises I make to myself. It feels great. Today was weigh in and measurement day, Im down 4 pounds and 2 in off of my waist, 2 off my hips, and 2 off my chest. But the BEST part is I'm experiencing less pain and inflammation too. Yeah!! I'll send you a SP mail with my email address so we can keep in touch without slowing down your computer. IF you want. No pressure.
