Continuing on the Journey

I began this journey in 2010. I lost half of the weight I had targeted that first year and SparkPeople was a godsend. It gave me the community and the information I needed to start losing weight. And that was something I had begun to believe just wasn't possible.

Since that time I've stayed pretty connected to this website. I've made some good friends...some have stayed and some have gone. 2013 has been a year where I've just held my own at a plateau where I'm "comfortable". ...

But I haven't reached that elusive goal. 2014 will be that year that I dust myself off, get serious about weight LOSS and start moving again.

My Goals:
Fit - walk for exercise 6 days a week

Increase my biking fitness with 3 rides each week. 10 miles to 50 miles.

Become more yoga fit, flexible with better balance.

Complete the loss of 25 unwanted pounds by August 15th.

Eat healthy & kick the diet soda addiction.

My Program:
Keeping calories well balanced and in the range of 1400 - 1500 daily

Walking-twice daily with one for aerobic needs and second for pleasure

Drinking more water.

Yoga class - Tuesday, strength class, Sunday

Blogging and reading blogs to stay inspired

Other Information:

Thank you for the comment on my blog. I think I have found an outlet on Spark - I am certainly going to pursue it.
Mom was in rehab for 3 months, then was to rehab here, but she refused to do anything to help herself, so did not regain what she could have. That blog actually made me feel a bit better just by getting it out. I believe this will be a good outlet for me as will the caregiver's group I just found on Spark. Thank you for your concern, it means a lot.

thank you for the comment on my blog. its so kind to know I have support from you. It truly helps me on my bad days. I am just so tired of being scared and in pain. I want answers but am scared of those answers. hoping for the best.
