Babysteps

I am a mom of two giving it all I've got to get healthy! It is hard work!! One thing I have discovered is that I love exercise. It really helps me manage the daily stress of life. It is hard work to lose weight. It is going to take babysteps to make this change permanent. If Bob can take Babysteps, then so can I!! Finding the time, getting motivation, and controlling my portion size are my biggest pitfalls. Fortunately I have found some wonderful role models here on sparkpeople. I know ...

I am a wife and a mom of two. One is 6 and the other is 3. I am a middle school teacher. After gaining all of my baby weight while I was pregnant, I am desperate to get healthy and teach my kids healthy eating habits.

You can come to me with any questions you have. I'm no expert, but SBD is the only thing that has ever worked for me. It's been several years since I did SBD, but it feels GREAT to be on board again!

I guess you're on Day One now and I hope it is going GREAT! You may get sluggish, and get some headaches, as your body adjusts to not having sugar in it, but it is a normal part of the detox and it will go away. Just baby yourself for a couple of days until it passes. Your energy will go up and the headaches will go away and then you can worry about exercising. And remember, if you're on SBD and you're hungry...EAT. Don't go hungry. I've found a cup of hot herbal tea helps if I feel a little hungry, too...especially if mealtime is nearby.
