My Last Obstacle

I am a 47 year old mother of 4 wonderful kids, and I have the most amazing husband. I had Gastric Sleeve surgery on 07/02 after almost 10 years of struggling to lose weight. I was terrified of doing something so drastic, and I can tell you know that it was the best decision of my life so far. I have lost 60 lbs as of late September 2014, and I feel like I am getting my life back. I enjoy knitting and crochet, video games, reading and animals. My Goals:
My ultimate goal is to be able to walk without pain for more than 1 block.
Done! I can walk now with no pain in my knees or back, and don't worry about parking close enough to be able to make it to the door without stopping.

Next goal: Incorporating exercise into my daily life.

My Program:

Stop the negativity. I am my own worst enemy. I need to learn to give myself credit and believe in myself. No negative self-talk.

Glad to see you're back. I have you listed in my friends and know exactly what you are talking about. I had gastric by-pass surgery and don't regret it, but know that it is a good start to get going but not magic. I have to work hard now to continue on, but feel it gave me a head start. Make your own decision, and just keep plugging.. you are not alone! emoticon emoticon

That's a great attitude---keep trying until it sticks! emoticon Consistency is the key (tell you something you don't know, right).

KEEP SPARKIN!!!!

Hey there! Wii Fit is fun, but like any exercise video or piece of equipment -- ya gotta commit to using it regularly. If not, it's just another expensive gaming system.

WoW - I haven't been on since Cataclysm hit, but I'll update you in a few days when I've had a chance to.

Thank you so much for your comment! I've actually been having a lot of fun writing this book the past couple of days. My recovery is going as well as expected. I'm really getting anxious to be able to drive again (the pain meds I'm on make me dizzy and I can't drive). But the swelling has gone down a LOT. Thanks for asking :) Have a great day!
