Knock Knock KnoxieII

The first step is the hardest and especially if that means getting out of bed early in the morning but .... here I go off to the gym first thing in the morning and I am sticking with it for the rest of my life!!
This is about living each day in a healthy way!
I am feeling better, fitter! I can go upstairs without huffing and puffing!

SP is helping me to stay on track and I have to say I enjoy charting my progress, it's like having a fitness coach!

Zumba is my favorite class followed by Group Spin or Spinsanity like my YMCA calls it! The instructors are great and my fellow enthusiasts in class make it more fun!

My Goals:
This is a time to reflect on where I have been and look forward to where I am going!
My husband and I are looking at a family almost completely grown and out on their own! We have one child living with us, one in college, one in grad school and one out on his own. They are for the most part happy, healthy, active and successful people. We have helped them along the way and are very proud of them all.
Somehow in the process of having and raising them I have put on several extra pounds. This is something I want to work off. So I am looking at a new year and making some choices for me and thus for my family.

* Movement every day, at least 15 minutes and hopefully first thing in the morning!

* Track what and how much I eat, writing it down!

* Drink 8 glasses of water a day

* Lift weights at the YMCA 3 days a week minimum now in BODY PUMP class!

* Sign up and complete a mini or Sprint Triathlon this year

My Program:
1. Exercise every day!
2. Log my food intake here on Spark People
3. Log my Fitness Record here also.
4. Ask God to help me be as healthy as I can in body and soul!
5. Add more resistance and / or weight training. ST!

Personal Information:
Born in Chicago where my parents were born and their parents came here from Ireland.
Married to a great guy and we raised 4 great kids!!
One dog Shadow and two cats Earl Grey and El Tigree.











Other Information:
I love old classic movies like An American in Paris with Gene Kelly.
Maeve Binchy is my favorite author.
I loved Wicked at the theater!
