My Goals:
I'm aiming to eat clean most of the time to make up for those times when I want to have a soda or a cookie. I'm also aiming to exercise 3-5 times a week, building on a start in running. I want to be fit and healthy.

My Program:
I'm following a lot of the paleo principles which focuses on whole foods, cutting out the refined foods that tend to be problematic for not only weight loss but feeling well. I'm using the C25K program to get into a running program but will add strength training soon.

Personal Information:
I'm from Alaska, born and raised, but after joining the Air Force and meeting my husband at my first duty station, we've been a military family ever since. We have four boys, three in college and one finishing high school, and though my husband is retired we're still attached to a military base in a state we are not planning on staying in permanently. We hope to retire for good in a few years and head somewhere north, possibly back home to Alaska.

Other Information:
Learning to focus on being healthy vs. thin. I am very concerned about getting healthy and fit now so my 40s, 50s and on are not spent in pain or feeling poor and unable to enjoy the things I've loved my entire life, like hiking. It's my driving motivation in sticking to it and following through with maintenance.
