10/2015 New goals to develop healthy habits. Working on rituals--I need the regular consistency.

6/2014 So I didn't lose the 50 lbs I wanted to, but I did lose 15 lbs and become much more active. I did learn to standup paddle board and we did take our trip to the Big Island where we took several stand-up paddleboard excursions with snorkled with dolphins and honu (Hawaiian green turtles).

Discovered that I really am happier and feel much better when I am active, so am working on incorporating that into my daily life.

9/2013 We are planning a big vacation next spring and I want to be ready to hike and snorkle and maybe even learn to surf!

I am 50+ with a goal to be 50 lbs lighter and much healthier in 8 months--just in time for a trip to the Big Island of Hawaii!

Morning Ritual:

-Drink water
-15 minute stretching routine
-Log-in to SparkCoach
-Track and plan for the day
-Make breakfast
-Walk the dogs


Personal Information:
Am 55 and had been steadily gaining weight since my 40's--sedentary job, a little bit of a workaholic, just not paying attention.

Lost 15 lbs in 2013. but couldn't keep it off.

Short term goals: Pay attention. Be consistent--log in to SparkCoach, be active every day, handle stress at work without food (breathing, yoga, laughing, friends) and TRACK everything!

Medium term goal: Develop good habits! I can already do all the fun things, but it would make them even easier and more fun!

Long term goal: A healthy active lifestyle!

I am aware that I have a long road and have lots to learn. I am committed to being open and putting in the necessary time and energy. Consistency has always been difficult for me, but I am starting with small steps and building from there.

Have one husband, two dogs. They are very supportive and are all benefitting from my meal planning and increased activity.
