Thanks for your comments on my blog. Isn't it just sickening to see sugar in everything? You are right, there's so much of it out there and in everything that Kool-Aid seems to be healthy. I too have switched to making as much as I can from scratch. Definitely cheaper and healthier.

Have a great Easter weekend! emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon emoticon

Thanks for the goodie and the well wishes. As for fuel here's what I did: fuel before race with a bowl of oatmeal, few walnuts and a little banana. During the race I carried 2 GU's with me because that is what I did during my practice runs, but I didn't fade until mile 8--at that point I had one GU and water. At mile 11.5 I needed something else and tried some Gatorade. It was warm and did not set well on my stomach at all. Ran thru it until the end. If I could change one thing I would have had that first GU a little earlier and then have a second one. Will not do the Gatorade again ;-). As for jelly beans, I have those and Gummi bears, but I can't chew and breathe, lol. The GU goes down a lot quicker and works at least for me. Favorite flavors: Salty Caramel and Chocolate Outrage. Hope your race goes well--which one are you doing?
