I'm 54 years old have been with SparkPeople for 3 years. I've learned over this time that I have more stamina than I ever thought possible to make so many healthy choices for myself.

I am married with 3 kids and have worked the overnight shift for 23 years. My kids are 21, 19 & 17 and it's all they've ever known. They've been busy with sports and school events and I've found that it's been so hard to keep up with everything for them and live healthy.

I've recently started a new phase of my life and started a year long training to become a Certified Health Coach with Institute for Integrative Nutrition. I am learning a ton of new things about healthy living and eating. I am looking forward to a new career to spread my healthy lifestyle to new people.

My Goals:
1. Lose 31 pounds - lost 25 so far

2. Drink 16 glasses of water daily upon recommendations of my chiropractor

3. Continue my 10 minute exercise streak. Over 1000 days right now!

4. Strength Train 2 times per week.

5. Run a half marathon in October

Eating healthy.

Going Organic as much as my budget allows.

Completed 30 days of 10-minute daily exercise challenge and will keep my streak going. I'm at 1008 days!

I'm from Omaha, NE.
My husband, Ed, and I have 3 kids, 2 cats and 2 dogs.
I work the 3rd shift as a pharmacist.
I love to read and find that it's hard to balance my love of reading with my need for exercise. Since I work the night shift I have had trouble fitting exercise into my life on the days that I have to work and life interferes.
