Hello! My name is Rebecca and I'm 38 years old. I've struggled with weight problems since my childhood. I am unfortunately part of that yo-yo club. Take off, put on, take back off and so on. Thanks for your encouragement on my Spark Page. I hope you decide to start writing blogs. It helps us to get to know you, and sometimes writing things down, especially for public consumption, helps us to work through "issues," which we all have in varying degrees.

I have some SP friends that keep me honest and some who do nothing but encourage and we need both kinds in the struggle to gain some semblance of control over what has become unconscious behavior for us. It's a matter of not only getting to where we move forward in our search for health, but discovering things about our personal physical self and what we need or don't need to maintain health. Many popular diets are either protein-heavy or carbohydrate heavy, and I'm convinced different people have different needs.

I've convinced myself to go write a blog about it right now!

With 71 minutes of exercise, and you just joined today? You're doing well! It's hard for all of us.... the challenge of being consistent, but I've discovered that if I just keep going and don't expect perfection, my habits gradually get better. We're here for the long haul, and for better health, and it's worth it.

WE are worth it!
