Thanks for your words on my blog! I was just telling someone else that it's funny because I wasn't feeling particularly low yesterday, just introspective I guess. It's that time of year when half the people I know are having birthdays so they float up to the forefront of my thoughts and I think about how long it's been since I've seen or talked to some people.
My absolute rock bottom was ugly. I had just gotten out of a seriously bad relationship and I was a very angry person. I had like one friend that I hung out with almost exclusively, and some Saturday nights he'd get me out with the main circle at someone's house. It took about a year for me to really get back to normal. Wow, that feels like a lifetime ago!
I said to a couple other people that I think feeling isolated is a lot more common to the human experience than I bet we realize. No one wants to admit feeling like that. I think maybe we all get stuck sometimes waiting for each other to take the first steps.
