Operation Altering Initial Condition

And the journey begins....again! I lost about 120 pounds in less than a year a few years ago with nothing but willpower, hard work, and sheer determination. I actually lost too much weight, gained some to reach a good weight for me but then failed at maintaining it. Life's stresses got in the way. And the journey begins....again! I lost about 120 pounds in less than a year a few years ago with nothing but willpower, hard work, and sheer determination. I actually lost too much weight, gained some to reach a good weight for me but then failed at maintaining it. Life's stresses got in the way. I am determined to get back down to my goal and STAY THERE forever this time around! I initially set a goal of losing about 40 pounds. Now that I am about halfway to my goal, I am debating about losing another 10-15. However, I will be happy with my goal and anything extra will just be that much better. I started this journey kind of half-heartedly. I experienced some bad blows in nearly every area of my life and quite frankly, I had nothing left but to focus on me. While the rest of my life was out of control, I knew the only thing I could control was me and so I grasped that realization with everything I had. I dived into my weight loss journey primarily as a distraction and to help give me some goal to work towards and provide some structure to my life. Now, while things are still not so great, at least I am able to really start seeing my physical efforts pay off. I now really love my exercise and crave it every day. I am excited and looking forward to reaching my goal...because I know I will do it!

My Goals:
I want to lose weight not only for my overall health, but also to look better and thus feel better about myself.

My Program:
I am up to working out (walking/jogging)twice a day and kick my butt each time! By the time I come home, my shirt is soaked in sweat along with my pants and socks. I am also watching what I eat...trying to eat clean. My biggest struggle is portion control so I am trying to learn what an appropriate portion size of various foods looks like.
