Cup Half Full

May 2011 - I am a 63 year old grandmother wanting to be able to keep up with my active toddler grandson. He has made me realize how much energy and physical fitness I have lost and I want it back! I have faith with my families help I will get there.

July 2013 - It has been 2 years as I am 65 now. I have permanently lost 16 pounds, and I can get up off the floor with less effort now. Still not as fast as a young person, and there is room for improvement! Still loving SP and all ...

November 2014 - I came awfully close to putting all the weight back on this summer, but am back on track. My knees are the red flag warning that I have got to stop this madness and help them! I am doing that!

My Goals:
To be able to go up and down stairs without pain in my knees.

To be able to run and keep up with an active grandson.

My Program:
1. Drink 8 glasses of water every day.

2. Eat sitting down! No exceptions. And eat slowly and be mindful.

3. 10 min. yoga routine every morning.

4. ST 3 days a week minimum.

5. Walk daily 10,000 steps.

Personal Information:
I retired from a CPA firm where I was an accountant. I worked with wonderful people but retirement is great!

thanks for commenting on my blog - sweden is indeed a pretty amazing place, absolutely beautiful , with great walking, though obesity has crept up here over the decades, as mcdonalds and TV watching (video games, computers, etc) have increased. oh well....

I'm Judi and I "met" you on the new Beck Reboot. I am sorry to hear that your cancer came back. I just want to tell you an inspiring story. My mother in law had a first bout with breast cancer and then a second about 20 years later. She went on to live a very long life, at least 40 years after her first time.

Thank you for your comment on Snacking. I have the same 4:00 problem. That is the only time of day that's hard. I, too, think it's because I got used to a snack then when I was little, the "after school snack". I have substituted a coffee break for the snack. I can change my habits, but isn't if funny how the impulse survives after 60 years, and I still have to consciously circumvent it.
