Cup Half Full

I am a two time breast cancer survivor and grateful for each day that has been given to me. I am in my late 60's but feel pretty good for my age. Started out in May 2011 in the Obese BMI category at just over 200 pounds. I lose 5-10 pounds then stall out or plateau for a long time. But with Beck's book and all the wonderful sparkers here I have not given up and feel like I will succeed!

I live in the Midwest here in the USA, and love my part of the world. I garden organically ...

I live in the Midwest here in the USA, and love my part of the world. I garden organically out at DD's country home and freeze most of my produce. I love to make soups all year round with beans and lentils and all the vegetables my 12 quart soup pot will hold. I change out the seasonings and explore with different tastes each week.

Make the most of each day and get up and moving! Your life depends on it!

My Goals:
To be able to go up and down stairs without pain in my knees.

To be able to run and keep up with an active grandson.

My Program:
1. Drink 8 glasses of water every day.

2. Eat sitting down! No exceptions. And eat slowly and be mindful.

3. 10 min. yoga routine every morning.

4. ST 3 days a week minimum.

5. Walk daily 10,000 steps.

Personal Information:
I retired from a CPA firm where I was an accountant. I worked with wonderful people but retirement is great!

Appreciated your comment on that SPT Webinar blog. I've had eleven (11!!) SPT emails in a week, still encouraging me to honour my "best self" and "sign up today" and . . . . yeah. So often as we know people with weight issues have correlated vulnerabilities which could make them particularly susceptible to duress/coercion . . .

Your spearmint and geranium fragrance sounds lovely: I've been trimming bits off my Christmas lavender tree and making quickie sachets (just some Jcloth and elastic band) for my undies drawers!
