Our daughters have always been a lot of fun to be around.

Sitting and knitting while the rest of the family is more active. That was me!

June 2015 after breast cancer surgery in May.

Happy Thanksgiving

Oh yes...journaling is worth while for me as an individual. Blogging is another story! Can't imagine putting anything terribly personal in an online blog, but each to his own, I guess. Thanks for stopping by my blogging blog! LOL!! Jeannie emoticon

we do indeed miss claire - i booked this trip (only 3 weeks this time) when we had first lost pelle, before claire joined us, and before DH came down with shingles. had i known... well, we are here now, and i think it is helping DH to recover. claire is happy with her foster mom (pelle's summer mom), but it is sad to see pelle's things here, to take his walks, and for his human friends to learn that we have lost him. next year claire will join us, after she has met the requirements for entry. i tried to arrange it for spring, but it will take too long, so she will be with sally and the other border collies and sheep and kitties again.

Thanks for your comment. I know my life I a huge work in progress and it's been a little over a year with many changes and challenges. Somehow that Prescription for Courage resonated with me

Thanks so much for reading my blog and commenting. You give me inspiration also, as I read the comments. I do miss my family but when I think of the stress again, even if they are doing better now, it's more than I think I can handle at this point. I hope you have a great day!

Thank you for stopping by my blog! If you have the time, bridge is a great game, very challenging and has a learning curve, because its a partnership game, you need to be up on what the majority of people play so you can participate and not feel out of place. Most clubs offer lessons that last a couple of months that involves lessons and play. Once you have played bridge, other games seem simply too easy.
The problem with the dinner was it was sports themed and everyone was watching the world series game that night, unfortunate timing. I finally got my old bridge partner to come as I know she wasn't too much into sports. She enjoyed it very much and thanked me profusely for choosing her.
