Cup Half Full

May 2011 - I am a 63 year old grandmother wanting to be able to keep up with my active toddler grandson. He has made me realize how much energy and physical fitness I have lost and I want it back! I have faith with my families help I will get there.

July 2013 - It has been 2 years as I am 65 now. I have permanently lost 16 pounds, and I can get up off the floor with less effort now. Still not as fast as a young person, and there is room for improvement! Still loving SP and all ...

November 2014 - I came awfully close to putting all the weight back on this summer, but am back on track. My knees are the red flag warning that I have got to stop this madness and help them! I am doing that!

My Goals:
To be able to go up and down stairs without pain in my knees.

To be able to run and keep up with an active grandson.

My Program:
1. Start an exercise program 30 min. 5 times a week minimum.

2. Drink 8 glasses of water every day.

3. Eat sitting down! No exceptions.

4. Slow down and be mindful.

Personal Information:
I retired from a CPA firm where I was an accountant. I worked with wonderful people but retirement is great!

Thanks for the goodie! I take some medication at night to prevent migraines, as they started coming on during the night a couple of years ago. So even when I get one, they aren't usually as bad as they could be! As in I can function and don't have to get in a dark room, etc! Still not fun, though. It went away by mid afternoon, about 12 hours after it started. So today has been a good one.

I have heard that hint, too, but have never done it. It does sound like a work saver on Christmas day! Sounds like you will be having a very good holiday with the whole family there! Wishing you the best.

Thanks for the concern about the weather. I must admit it sort of worries me, too, as I have been stuck in the snow during a storm before. I tend to panic!
