Our daughters have always been a lot of fun to be around.

Sitting and knitting while the rest of the family is more active. That was me!

I am a 63 year old grandmother wanting to be able to keep up with my active toddler grandson. He has made me realize how much energy and physical fitness I have lost and I want it back! I have faith with my families help I will get there.

My Goals:
To be able to go up and down stairs without pain in my knees.

To be able to run and keep up with an active toddler.

My Program:
1. Start an exercise program.
2. Drink more water.
3. Avoid snacking between meals.

Personal Information:
I retired from a CPA firm where I was an accountant. I worked with wonderful people but retirement is great! I am taking care of my grandson now 5 days a week because I want to. Due to medical problems it did not look like there were going to be any grandchildren. So I want to enjoy every minute of the miracle God has given us. Just hope we do not spoil the much celebrated grandchild!

The last test is finally in and it was good news! Low grade so only having to do the pills. I am so thankful that we caught it so quickly and were able to get rid of it. Thank you so much for all of the help that you have given me, I appreciate you so much!

This is a lonelier house without Cheyenne that's for sure! Still missing her.

Thanks for your comment on my last blog. I too, check out other people's grocery carts, and especially the skinny ones. They set a good example. Sometimes I look at my own cart with a judgmental eye, wondering what the check-out person or others might think of what I'm buying. Most of the time I'm proud of my purchases. Lots of fresh fruits and veggies. I've been trying to get 5 helpings of fruits & veggies each day. I read somewhere you live longer if you eat more veggies and fruits. I'm trying to do more in that area.

Yes, I know that I will get there eventually. I am just always in a rush and I am not sure for what reason. I am trying to take it a little slower for now.
I hope that you had a good day!

I haven't been back for awhile as I have been trying to get the house ready for more company. We are having a family reunion in July and my children from Oregon will be here for a day or two. I am trying to only work a little at a time and taking all the time that I need to rest in between. It's slow going but finally got one room sort of ready. It seems to be taking longer to recover than I thought that it would.
