Eight good habits
I love all living things: people, animals, and plants. I am an amateur herbalist, and love to cook with and use herbs for all sorts of things.
My weight gain has happened gradually, and I'm not starving myself to take it off. Exercise is key with me. As the grandmother of seven, I find that weight no longer bounces off like it once did. I actually wonder if I really should be the soft pillow my own grandmother was that made her hugs wonderful! Then I think about the health challenges that presents, and I get "real."
I have several circles of friends: my church family, always the first friends wherever we move, my friends at the Bernina store where I used to work, my chorus friends (the source of the gold medal), my herb club and gardening friends, and the walking club that started me walking some 15 years ago. I talk about Spark People to all of them.
To feel fit and healthy, and physically vital.
Eating less desserts and more real food; eliminating processed foods.
Born during WWII in a "Maternal Nursing Home" (an adjunct to the local hospital) in North Platte Nebraska, lived in several big cities ever since: San Diego, Philadelphia, Washington D.C. Moved from Dallas to Missouri in summer of 2014. Love growing herbs, singing, quilting, and crazy quilting. Grandmother of seven. Trying to increase my dependence on God, and to quit thinking I have all the answers.
I'm an avid reader. Not a single day goes by without a book, in my "reading chair," in bed, in the throne room.

I will send you an invite to our Fall Challenge team, that way you can look around and see what we did this fall. You can also get to know the members. I will send out formal invites for winter later this week (probably weekend) so you don't need to do anything but accept the invites. We do have a full slate of active members so far so you would initially be joining as honorary, but that only means that your numbers won't count with the all team counts but you would be a full member as far as the team and your numbers would be included in the team numbers. We usually have several people who either don't join when they get the invite or they drop out right away so chances of you staying honorary are slim, then I would make you active.
I am so glad you want to join our challenge, it is fun and really helps build those good habits we all need. The support can't be beat!
