My intent is to better myself in mind, body, and Spirit by taking better care of myself.

My goal is to use food as nourishment for my body and not for coping with the world. I want to listen to my body and eat from hunger, stopping when I am satiated. Food is a blessing, not a crutch.

I want to remain flexible, healthy and able to live a physical lifestyle, walking, playing with Grandbabes, travelling, and embracing each day.

I want to dance. Please join me...........choose to dance....

My Goals:
I want to become the healthiest woman I can be in mind, body, and Spirit. I love the woman that I have become, but believe in always striving for more. My goals are: ~ To stop using latenight snacking as a coping tool ~ To make drinking water a real habit ~ To be more flexible and stronger ~ To develop better sleep patterns ~ To destress my life


My Program:
I CAN DO THIS!! ~ I strive to eat mindfully, eating ONLY when hungry and STOPPING when satisfied~ The only thing I will put in my mouth after dinner will be fruit and NOTHING after 8 p.m. ~ I will have my water by my side ~ I will exercise 5 times a week: weights and floor exercises,, such as crunches yoga and steps ~ I will wear my pedometer every day and strive for 10,000 plus steps~ I will go to bed earlier.~ To destress, I will do things that make me happy, such as my beading, reading, prayer, and dancing! ~ Will jump up in front of the tv and dance in the evenings.

Ian loving our Living and Eating Mindfully team. The Mindful Mansion is filled with many rooms offering resources and info on living mindfully. What a special place to grow in mind, body and Spirit. If it is something that interests you, just ask and I am glad to share about it.

My husband and I spent our career life in the Air Force. We are proud parents and grandparents. We have never lost our desire to live life with passion.


Other Information:
I love to make beaded tapestries, crochet, make jewelry, make wire sculpture trees, needlepoint, play golf, Mah Jongg, walk, and , of course, DANCE!!!

    When you work out vigorously, why are your muscles more sore 2 days after your workout rather than the next day? It’s called delayed onset muscle soreness otherwise known as DOMS. It is your body’s signal that you need to rest. If you experience this, use the foam roller to increase blood flow to the affected muscles. Any moderate exercise like walking or yoga will also help relieve the muscle discomfort. Increasing the blood flow to the affected muscles speeds up the healing and makes you feel better. You can also take acetamediphen (which is Tylenol) to relieve the pain. Don’t take ibuprofen or aspirin because they will actually interrupt the healing process. To help with circulation and inflammation, eat foods high in Omega 3’s like nuts, salmon and spinach. Listen to your body, temporarily lower the intensity and give it the rest it’s calling out for.
