Sparking a new relationship with food and movement!

I want to get to a good place with food - not abuse it for emotional reasons, also not demonize it. I want to get fit and strong - in the short amount of time I have to exercise! I want and deserve happiness. Spark People is a wonderful place and I want to make the most of the opportunities here.

My Goals:
I would like to lose 10 pounds by the end of 2014. I want to feel fit and strong. I also want to be at peace with food and not "eat my feelings." I want to be a little boy!

My Program:
Track calories. Fit in fitness wherever possible. Use Spark People videos. Go to the gym on the weekends. Do NOT "treat" myself with food -find some other way to treat myself!

Personal Information:
I'm a public librarian at a small community branch. I do story times twice a week. My preschooler and my husband are the loves of my life.

Other Information:
I am a voracious reader, I love "Parks & Rec," "Dancing with the Stars," and "Downton Abbey," and I love taking walks in my neighborhood.

Thanks for the support on my crazy train office blog. She's going out of town to one of our other offices next week, and it's such a relief! I survived the week of temptation, though. I'm going to remember how good and powerful I feel after this and your support and use it to help me during the tough times.

You asked what I was reading on my feed, well, I am a fan of mystery. Not the gory, ugly kind of stuff, but intrigue and suspense. I have found an English author who writes Edwardian England timed mystery novels, her name is Anne Perry. I love her! She's clean, and her Thomas and Charlotte Pitt novels have kept me coming back for more!! I really recommend her! I only read at night, sometimes a little bit, sometimes way too much! Last night I finished the book. Totally awesome ending, even though it wasn't the expected one!
