LAINIE'S NEW HEALTHY LIFESTYLE

My word for this year is Commit. I am committing myself this year to get healthier than I have been in a long time. Last year I worked on getting in my steps and eating healthier. This year I'm going to commit to doing even better. By the end of 2014, I was getting in 3,000+ steps every day. In 2015, I'm committing to improving on those steps. In January, I am committing to 4,000+ steps and each month going forward, I am committing to improve on that. Fitness is very important, but so is ...

I'm committing to eating more fruits and veggies this year. I'm committing to trying new fruits and veggies.

My Goals:
My main goal is to lose this weight and get off my diabetes and high blood pressure medications.

I want to be healthier for not only myself but my son.

I want to do all the things I have not been able to do in years such as ride a bike and go to an amusement park.

I want to be able to wear blue jeans again.

My Program:
I am not on a diet. I am on a healthy lifestyle. I am eating healthy foods, avoiding sugar,
lowering carbs, exercising, and drinking 12 glasses of water.

Personal Information:
My name is Lainie. I'm 57 years old. I just recently moved to the San Diego, CA area. My son got a job in San Diego and wanted me to go with him. Luckily, I work from home and was able to move there with him. I'm divorced and I have a 24 year old son.

"You've heard the old procrastinator's turn of phrase, "Don't do today what you can put off until tomorrow." Well, the same goes for procrastination itself. Put if off until tomorrow. Seize the future you want by seizing the present you have. Get started now – not tomorrow, next week or when you get around to it. "Around to it" never seems to get here."

"Never wait for the proper mood to start a thing, nor until the spirit moves you. Make your own mood. Make your own spirit. How? ACT. Do something – anything. Inspiration seldom generates action. Action always creates inspiration."

"Direct yourself, consistently and persistently, toward the places, situations, experiences, people and results that you wish to have in your life. You have more than enough energy, opportunities and ability, when focused in a specific direction, to achieve whatever you choose. So choose to choose. Decide how your life will be, this hour, this day, this year, this century, and live the true richness of making it happen."
-- Ralph Marston
