Hi,

I'm Debbie.

I'm working on my weightloss, and I'm not having too many troubles right now. I've lost 25 lbs to date, and I need to lose about 54 more. LOL!! 1/3rd of the way... I live in Saratoga County, NY. about 10 minutes from SPAC. My husband went to school in the area.

I grew up in Fort Johnson, NY. Ken and I moved to Canandaigua (Western NY) for awhile. Now we settled here, back in his old stomping grounds... LOL!!

Hello Debbie
Hope you didn't give up like I did last year. I'm back now with a new attitude and just reinstated myself to SP to help me keep track as that actually helped me more then I knew.

I'm still in Ballston Spa and looking for a buddy - drop me a line anytime.

Take Care and never give up :) you can do it!!!!

Mary

Stopping by to say hi! and see how you are doing?

Also wanted to share this thought with you:

A little smile, a word of cheer, A bit of love from someone near, A little gift from one held dear, Best wishes for the coming year… These make a Merry Christmas! by John Greenleaf Whittier

Take care,

Breakfast for me, is high in protein. I need lots of it after my intense workouts. I tried the shake, but it wasn't enough for me. So I have my chicken, tuna, and nuts ready available. I'll microwave a couple of eggs, with a couple of tablespoons of water added, and will mix in some salsa, or some red or green chile to spice it up.
Lunch is usually more protein, maybe tuna canned in water, with a couple of slices of bread for my carb intake level. I try to eat my lunch late, plus I'm not that hungry with breakfast having so much protein in it. This is my largest caloric intake meal
Dinner, is my lowest caloric meal, and I'll eat whatever. I like to make a huge bowl of cabbage salad, add some onions, mix in olive oil and red wine vinegar. I can eat a whole bunch of this, get filled up, and since it's a lot of chewing, the rest of the family is still eating their meal and I'm joining them too!

Debbie, the biggest thing for me and my weight progress, is that my menopause is finally here to stay! I started changing up my workout schedule to include stationary bike, and weight training.
My schedule is GRUELING now…now, that I’m able to workout.
Mondays: 60 min Stationary bike, 2-hours Salsa Dance Lessons
Tuesdays: 30 min Stationary bike, 75 minutes Wgt Train, 75 min Aerobic Dance, 1-hr Salsa Lessons
Wednesdays: Repeat Mondays
Thursday: Repeat Tuesdays, minus Salsa Lesson
Fridays: Repeat Mondays, and add 1-hr of Spin Class

The Lifestyle path has been a struggle. I keep a 1-liter container of water at my desk at all times, a 9 oz water container filled with Diet Crystal Lite (generic) to give me a boost. Track all my caloric intake, and fitness minutes.
I now am able to cut back on calories, since I’m increasing my protein..with all this exercise, my body CRAVES protein. I keep nuts, peanut butter, boiled chicken, and protein bars on hand. I like the Cliff Bars-Peanut Butter choice the best.
Good luck my friend, and I’m glad that I FINALLY have become an inspiration. I struggle with this new journey at times, but keep the motivation up, and know that one day…and here soon, I will be at my ultimate goal weight, and by that time, I hope it all becomes second nature and I wont have to think so hard about what I eat and drink!
