I'm Diane, also known as Rissa. I am on disability for bipolar and other issues. I'm not ashamed of it- I'm proud! I work hard to overcome my issues and I do want to go get my Master's or a Nursing Practitioner degree and go back to work. I went to USC and graduated with a Biology degree! I'm proud of that, too!

I try and walk at least a couple miles a day at least 3-4 times a week, with my latest record being 7.35 miles straight! I can't wait until I can run again... I used to run Cross-Country and was doing 5k's on hills in 33 minutes. I live in Los Angeles where I grew up.

I managed to lose weight and keep it off in 2017! I am now at my lowest weight since my early 20's, (as of 3/31/18 I'm 201.8!!!) My goal in 2018 will be to not only get to Onederland, but to get to the 170's. I have a 10k on April 8th, and I just signed up to do the Savannah Rock N Roll Marathon on November 3rd! I'm training with Team Challenge, which raises money for Crohn’s and Colitis, so if you want to donate, the link is in my signature and posted all over my page! I am in the Cloverleafs for the Spring 5% Challenge, and they have motivated me and helped me get into the low 200's and hopefully by the beginning of the Challenge I will be finally be in Onederland again which was my weight when I was in my teens!! My highest weight was in the 280's, so I have lost over 80 pounds with Spark People!!!!

My Goals:
I would like to be in the 160 pound range, and to be able to *run* a 5k again. I walked one in November 2017! My ultimate goal is to run a marathon. I signed up to do the Savannah Rock N Roll Marathon on November 3rd!!


My Program:
I started the Ketogenic Diet on 4/20/17 at over 241 pounds. As of 3/31 I'm 201.8! No sugar, extremely limited carbs (20 a day), and high fat. I have a fatty liver, and this was recommended to me by my doctor. I also was borderline diabetic, but my A1c dropped from 5.7 to 5.3 in a month of my diet. It really does work!
