This is my fight for a healthier life.

Some new goals, for all to see:

-Fit into black dress I wore 2 years ago. Once well fitted again, reward with some shoes to match it!
-Fit into B&W dress, same style as black dress above. Reward with some nice jewelry or belt to go with it.
-Fit into my skinny jeans. (Literally. They are the skinny jean style.) Reward with a new pair of jeans, any style!

My Goals:
Right Now: (Subject to be increased as I go on :) )
*3 freggie servings/day
at least 1 being veggie
*track & drink 4c water/day
*track & exercise 90 min/week
*track food one weekend day/week


My Program:
I'm trying to eat as healthy as I can manage. I aim for at least 6 homemade dinners a week (lunches and breakfast are always homemade. Or at least, not drive-through, or insta-food). I have a hard time with exercise as I'm dealing with an autoimmune disease. Sometimes, though, I wonder if I lean on that excuse too much?

Other Information:
A quote that really motivates me during hard days : Never trade what you want the most for what you want at the moment.
I also picture myself as a fighter, boxing gloves and all. I'm in this fight to win it!

It's kind of monotonous BUT remember all those 'step' cardio videos from the 80s and early 90s (or not, I'm old).

Even just stepping up ONE and back down (not turning, just up and down, repeating) is GREAT cardio!

Thank you for your honesty in your comment on my blog. It's also helpful to hear from a non-drinker about dealing with social drinking situations. I have the non-social situations down with no problem, but it's the more social drinking (aka large group of friends) that is a problem. We have a full wine rack and a full bar at home, but drinking at home has never been a problem (always with moderation, or just not drinking). I'll talk to my mom tomorrow and see how she feels about finding an alternative activity for mother's day. That may be the best solution.

Thanks for the blog comment! The sogginess is what I was most worried about with the squash. I'm hoping that with eating it today instead of tomorrow it won't be SO bad. My boyfriend doesn't like squash, but I want him to try this (maybe I'll have him taste it first before telling him what it is haha)
