Hi! I'm a Spanish teacher working with kids from kindergarten through 8th grade. I love it! I'm also a part-time manager at McDonald's. I just bought my first house and am excited to finally have room to set up an exercise area in the basement. This summer I'll be attending the University of Costa Rica and would really love to be in better shape before I go! Hi! I'm a Spanish teacher working with kids from kindergarten through 8th grade. I love it! I'm also a part-time manager at McDonald's. I just bought my first house and am excited to finally have room to set up an exercise area in the basement. This summer I'll be attending the University of Costa Rica and would really love to be in better shape before I go! In my free time, I enjoy biking, hiking, geocaching, raising monarch butterflies, camping, hot air balloons, cooking, playing Trivia contests, reading and computers. It's probably the last four on the list that have helped me to gain all this icky weight. I tend to be a very active person, but I LOVE food and some of my hobbies can cause me to be very sedentary during some parts of the year. I also try to get home to Sheboygan every so often to visit family. Because I was one of the top runners in town way back when, I'm afraid to be seen running outside when I visit. I'm embarrassed. Hopefully I will feel more confident once I get back in shape! I used to run a lot, but I quit after some knee problems and started packing on the pounds...60 to be exact. My 5:30 mile turned into a 14:00 mile and I can't run half marathons anymore. I want to add running back into that list of things I enjoy in my free time! I've been dealing with a knee injury from a fall for about two years, but I am hopeful that it will improve as the weight comes off!
