Welcome to my page, I'm glad you stopped by! :)

The name's Laura, and I am forever on a journey to become the best me that I can possibly be. I am an enthusiastic health coach for motivated 20 & 30 somethings, & young women with gut/digestive issues. My personal philosophy has always been "Feeding the mind, body, & soul to give it fuel to be the best you that you can be".

I am currently in the process of setting up my coaching business, & interacting with & helping those who want to make long-lasting changes in their lives. I do this by supporting them in their goals & holding them accountable to plans they create that fit in their lives, not what I or someone else says they should do!

These days I am all about living life to the fullest and in the most healthy way possible. And by healthy, I mean with what is best and most in-tune with your mind, body, & spirit on a given day, knowing that it can change at any time.

Most people assume I'm on a "diet" (their words when I choose healthier options or decline drinks), or that I exercise a lot when they say that I am skinny. Yes, it is true that I am at a decent weight for my body & height. I've struggled with weight issues before. I've struggled with body-image, physical limitations, hormonal imbalances, mental setbacks,

Food has always been an issue for me. I was tested positive for various food allergies & sensitivities when I was younger. Throughout the years & especially in the last few, I started to see how each of them affect me. I started slowly changing my eating choices & habits to exclude the worst ones as much as possible, & it has made a world of difference.

Body-wise I have exercise-induced asthma, feet that flatten & over-pronate when I walk, & narcolepsy. My asthma has always hindered me with exercise. I could never do the various runs in school & while I was on the swim team for a year, I could never be too aggressive with my heats. Get my breathing above a certain level & I can literally feel my lungs & veins constricting. :) Since leaving high school I stuck to "lighter" work-outs: belly dancing, yoga, cardio machines at lighter paces. While these can be great, they don't get my heart rate up. Two years ago I started to push myself to build my endurance by slowly increasing my heart rate by running, something I never thought I would ever be able to do, let alone accomplish a 5K with The Color Run!

My body is ever-changing - it is always a work in progress & always requiring me to look at where I am at, where I would like to go, & what I can best handle at the time. Yours is too, & it deserves just as much love, attention, & respect that you give to others. Where do YOU want to go & how can I help you?!

YAY! I'm excited you decided to join me on the 200 squat challenge. If you cant do that many at a time, That's OKAY! just try to do a little more the next day :)

I cant start today like I wanted because I got sick from some chicken sausage I ate yesterday, but I'm sure I'll be all good tomorrow. So, If you want, You can either start today or tomorrow - it's up to you.

Hope you have a great day today!

I was inspired by http://www.100daysofrealfood.com/ ! She talks about whole wheat quite a bit and those are the 2 scariest words i know (I have celiac) so I'm not really following her plan and stuff :) lol
You're so right about the mixing and matching. I'm not worried about the "rut" factor - just like you said, you fall in to that no matter what. It's actually a bonus for me because it simplifies my life, you know?
