Losing Lisa

I found this site about halfway through my losing journey, and it's been so helpful! I now love to exercise, and I'm trying to transition now to maintaining my weight loss.

My Goals:
I am at my goal and want to maintain it and make it a way of life! I do NOT want to continue to be a yo-yo dieter as I have been in the past.

My Program:
I lost 35 pounds using no flour/no sugar. Now, I need to figure out how to maintain that loss, which is more difficult than actually being on the strict plan. I do an hour of cardio and strength training (light hand weights, resistance band, etc.) about six days a week.

Personal Information:
With two kids,a part-time teaching job and the usual "stuff," I'm busy but I want to keep exercise a priority! I feel so much better physically and mentally when I accomplish it early in the day!

Other Information:
Small steps in the right direction...it works in a lot of areas! Trying to keep that in mind!

Hi Lisa! Thank you for the lovely and supportive comment on my blog. It really means a lot to me. Julie

“Your joy is your sorrow unmasked. And the selfsame well from which your laughter rises was oftentimes filled with your tears. And how else can it be? The deeper that sorrow carves into your being, the more joy you can contain.”

Khalil Gibran

Hi Lisa. Yes, Spring has sprung and it's such a delight. And thank you for the lovely comments on my new photo. Sasha is a delight. I'm running another half marathon on Sunday in Central Park. The first one where it should actually be warm and not raining! Wow!

Hi Lisa, you are amazing for always thinking of Sasha and I. Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog and on my page. Running has been really great. Ran another half yesterday. The eating hasn't been great - still struggling with the binging but learning a lot in the process and hopefully with each slip up I'm a step closer to better coping methods.

I bought Tuesdays with Morrie but haven't started reading it - I will now that you reminded me. Thank you!!

I hope your school year is going well!!

Hi Lisa
I just was looking at a couple of my older blogs and see that you had stopped by and I don't remember stopping by to say thanks! Thanks so much for your support and encouragement and friendship here on SP! The journey is so much better with people like you!

Hi Lisa
Hi and thanks so much for stopping by my winter pic blog! I hope you are warm and having a great weekend! I was lucky enough to not lose any power here on this side of St. Paul but I heard there were lot's of people without power for a while. After looking at the snow on the lines, I can see how the weight caused the lines to go down. I am so ready for Spring!
