    I used a savings plan http://mommysavers.com/52-week-savings-pla
n-printable-chart/ and was glad that I had saved according to that plan when I was faced with possibly having to pay out $800+ dollars. A man we knew used to tell us, "I don't care how much you make, how much are you saving?" Beginning last January, was the first time I saved something every month of the year.

I feel sorry for people that cannot pay for their medical care and don't have insurance. I have often heard people say that they have to decide between food or buying their medications. I am glad that you and Himself seem to be in good shape.

No, unfortunately not. Brother is going to Boston w/his Monica. Her Mom passed away 9 days after my Dad and so the unveiling of the headstone is over the holidays.

John remains in Alaska. I am sure we'll skype.

It'll be just Jas, Clara and I! Small but nice!

I KNOW you'll have a house full! HUGS oh virtual one.

I have heard that it takes a long tine to be seen in Canada. I just wish our healthcare was standardized between insurance companies.

My parents taught me never to go into debt. My husband was one of twelve in his family and they got by any way they could. He cannot manage money and when I met him, he was in debt. He got double checks from the VA and I figured he might get caught after I married him. We notified the VA and paid the money back for the extra checks.

He also bought a truck from his brother-in-law, wrecked it, and quit paying for it. I told him I would not marry him unless he was debt free. He repaid him too.

Since we have been married, we keep refinancing the house and adding on to the amount borrowed. So here we are in our mid 60's with a house payment and we won't have it paid off until we are almost 90. If my husband had tried to save or controlled his spending, we might be in better shape.

Still I try to get my bills paid off and it feels good not to owe anyone any money.
