My Goals:
Fall 5% Challenge: Lose 5% of current weight, which means my goal this challenge is to lose

My Program:
One pound a week - slow but sure. Keep on keepin' on ... 60 minutes a day of exercise, clean and healthy eating. I MUST learn to not binge eat when I'm tired or stressed. "If it isn't hunger, then FOOD won't fix it."

Personal Information:
Retired. Love gardening, cooking and music. Getting out for my four-mile daily walks is a joy in the sunshine. Not so much joy in cold weather! Three grandkids nearby, so they are here often. Those are times I find it hard to stay on track.

Other Information:
This is my 5th challenge and I found the first three to be SO helpful in my weight loss journey that I'm now hooked. Thank you Spark People!

How is week 1 of the Challenge going for you? I got off to a good start then got derailed slightly due to a minor illness. That's life for you! I'm feeling almost back to normal now and ready to get back on track. Hope things are fine with you!!

Good for you for taking piano lessons! Yes, morning practice is better for all ages, but most people don't have the time to take advantage of that part of the day due to work and school. I've taught a few adults and would like to teach more. I only have one student now due to our move last year and we may move again in the next year so maybe when we settle down in the next year or so I can get be in an area where I can focus on teaching adults!
