My long term goal is to lose 54 kilos (over about a year), be healthier, fitter, have a normal BMI and body fat percentage and be able to buy clothes off the rail in any shop!

I need to break myself of the "all or nothing" mind set I've had regarding weight loss for the last 10+ years, because it hasn't worked in all that time! I'm going to try not to beat myself up too much if I have a bad day, and not think that if I go x amount of calories over my recommended amount I may as well eat anything and everything I want, and then give up entirely. I'm not going to think if I don't exercise for an hour 4 times a week then I've failed so I might as well just stop.

I need to take small steps, I'm not going to change my entire lifestyle overnight and be able to keep at it, I'm going to take it one day (or even one meal!) at a time, and celebrate small victories like choosing an apple over a chocolate bar, because those small things will add up to a big change.

Eating more fruit and vegetables and nutrient dense food instead processed food and empty calories.

Limiting alcohol intake to once a week (if I really want to drink!).
