My name is Karen. I have struggled on and off with my weight for years. I gain weight easily due to thyroid disease, so I have to be vigilant in order to keep it off. Recently I had a setback with my weightloss. I have had a lot of stress in my life and a few really profound disappointments that have contributed to me regaining much of what I had lost several years ago. I came to SparkPeople at the suggestion of my daughter. I am very greatful to have found this tool!

My Goals:
Walk five miles a day.
Eat 1,500 calories.
Drink 8 glasses of water a day.
Eat no more that 22grams of carbs per a meal.

My Program:
I've been losing slowly. I am seeing a RD at the clinic near my home. She put me on a low carb, low calorie diet. I managed to increase my walking to six miles a day since I renewed my weight loss journey. My bones hurt when I walk, but it is all for the cause!
