Helloooo brand new life...!

I'm Laura.

I used to be chubby slothy slob, but one day in late 2011 I decided that I wasn't going to live like that anymore. I got more active, I paid more attention to my food. I ended up losing 30lbs, but I'm steadily seeing the scale creep up as I put on more muscle. So I'm not getting on the scale anymore.

What keeps me going on this journey is variety and self-experimentation. This time last year I was counting calories and running 6-7 miles. Now I'm eating ...

I would LOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE to swim my face off! there is actually a pool right by my house, but it is outdoor so seasonal. I need to check out the town rec center versus the YMCA, which is one town over. It's going to come down to a comparison of price vs. what equipment & hours they have, plus how difficult it is to get there (both of them require driving). But the outdoor pool being so close in the summer is a big point against the Y probably!!! hahaha.

I will probably join one or the other sometime before it becomes too cold/too much snow/ice to walk/run outside in the mornings. Even now with one week of resting my injury I'm going batcrap crazy not exercising, so I definitely want to get a good routine before I get "used" to being lazy again!
