I don't want to tip into the "obese" category. I feel great, actually, but I know I should bring my weight down to increase my overall fitness and improve my volleyball game.

Hi! I have a chronic health condition that was diagnosed after *months* of miserable treatments for the wrong thing. I was finally healing physically but was a mess emotionally, when my PA (not responsible for the misdiagnoses or treatments) gave me the best advice I've heard to date:

Treat your body well, and your mind will follow.

Don't know if that's helpful to you, but it was life-changing for me. Hang in there! You can do it!

Don't give up if you haven't lost in the first week. Your body needs to adjust to the new routine. As long as you keep tracking your food, stay within your calorie range, drink your water and do exercise, that scale will move.
