Life Forward, Backwards, and Upside Down!
It's the summer before my third year of law school, which so far has been quite the adventure let me tell you, and I want to make it count. After many starts and stops throughout the year so far. It's the summer before my third year of law school, which so far has been quite the adventure let me tell you, and I want to make it count. After many starts and stops throughout the year so far. I managed to get into more of a pattern in the beginning of May and have since lost about 9 pounds. My goal is to continue this progress and be at a healthy BMI by the middle of August. I also hope to keep that weight off, and with an allowance for holidays and the stress of finals if I make it to 140ish by November I would like to make a pact with myself to not go over 150 again. I would like to say for the whole year I did successfully keep off a solid 10 pounds at all time. I'm hoping to do the majority of my weight loss over the summer because that's when I have the free time. We'll see how it goes.
When I first started here I was a first year law student hoping to cut back on the crappy late night food and raise my activity levels. As a 2L I have to say that I have started to pick up healthier habits subconsciously. I now watch my portion size when I'm not cooking myself. I've also started to actually prefer having veggies and fruit as opposed to cookies or candy.
With that I've really upped my activity this year. I took up running over the summer and have run a few 5Ks now. I'm planning to run a 8K for Thanksgiving and am training for my first half-marathon on March 16th. I've taken up doing crunches and more strength training on a daily basis, and am hoping to attend yoga once a week now as my funds allow.
My goal is to be healthy and to continue my weight loss journey while improving my lifestyle and making healthy eating a unconscious choice over a conscious one. I would like to reach my recommended spark weight some time next year (June or Julyish), but I have stopped giving myself a very strict time frame to work with. I will aim to lose about 3-4 a month while in school, but will not beat myself up if it doesn't happen as long as I am eating well and exercising regularly. I have some rewards I want for when I hit certain weight goals and will continue to add them as I think of more things I want.

To hit a Healthy BMI by the end of the summer, and be able to maintain that throughout my last year of school and beyond.
Also to reach my overall weightloss goal by May 2014- in time for graduation
Be more active
Continue to run and run at least one more half-marathon and try for my first marathon by the end of 2014.
Continue the healthy habits I have learned on spark and not let myself fall into my bad patterns even when things get tough

I'm 24 and want to feel like it. Minus the fact that with school I'm in bed by 10:30
I just want to feel good about my body again.
