Working to be Better
Hi I'm Leslie and I am 52 years old. I have chronic daily migraines that have made it very hard for me to be consistent with my diet and exercise routines in the past, but I have them somewhat under control right now and I am determined to get this weight off for good. I have chronic daily migraines that have made it very hard for me to be consistent with my diet and exercise routines in the past, but I have them somewhat under control right now and I am determined to get this weight off for good. I am getting ready to start the "2013 Spring into Summer 5% Challenge". While doing this I will exercise at least 15 minutes daily for the 8 weeks of the challenge. I will follow the Flat Belly Diet. I will do my part to help my team by sticking to my plan, recording my daily exercise, tracking what I eat, recording my weight once a week, checking in with the team daily and commenting on discussions and/or blogs when I can.

My Goals:
I want to get healthy so that I can keep up with my 5 year old grandson. We are going to Disney World later this year and I not only need to weigh less. but to be able to walk for what I remember as being forever. As of Jan. 2, 2013 I want to lose 108 pounds to reach my goal of 135.
My Program:
I have gone gluten free to try to help my migraines and I try to incorporate MUFAs into each of my meals. For exercise I walk to "Walk Away The Pounds" DVDs and walk my dog when the weather is nice.

I live in Southern Maryland. I am married and have three grown children and one grandson who is the light of my life. I started this journey 1/2/13 at 243 pounds.
