A Healthier Me

It's me - back again. After losing 30 pounds my first go round with this in 2010 - you would think I would still be going strong - but old eating habits die hard. I need to now get my cholesterol in order as well as lose this weight for the last time. Time to make lifestyle changes and not just lose the weight!

Thanks for stopping by my page. When I found out I had high cholesterol, I googled "how to lower cholesterol naturally" and followed the steps. Basically, I used olive oil, ate avocado, nuts, seeds, high fiber, etc. I added exercise and asked my health food store about supplements to lower cholesterol natually. They recommended Nordic Naturals brand that had omega 3 fish oil, coQ10, and Red Yeast Rice. Hope this helps! You can do it!

thanks for commenting on my blog. I love to bake, but this year more than ever I am trying to resist unless it is something to share! Its starting to look like family festivities will be places other than our house so hubby and I do not need tempting tubs full of cookies.

I'm working on my cholesterol too, I've been using a fiber supplement as a part of my breakfast each day and I'm hoping that my annual blood work will show improvement.

Hi there LESSME10 I am just asking if you are using the whole flax seed or the ground flax seed

WHOLE seeds go right through your body UNDIGESTED, they are good for your bowels. The good Nutrients just flush away.

When the seed is ground the good nutrients, there are many of them and the really good fiber is a better option for out digestion..
Ground Flax seed should be refrigerated to avoid it going Rancid.
If you are aware of that, that is good to know and I apologise for bringing it up. My Triglycerides came down once I began eating it EVERY DAY.
