I'm in grad school to get my PhD in cancer bio. With lab, class, and everything else, I have really not taken care of my body since high school. I really want to regain control so that I'm not so darn tired and worn out all the time. I need all the energy and focus I can get. Being healthier and more fit will allow me to focus more on my work, have more energy, be a great stress relief, and of course, make me look great :) Size 7 here I come!
1) I want to be healthy in all aspects...food choices, fitness, spiritual, emotional...all around healthy.
2) I want to get to a healthy weight of 135 3) more than losing weight, I want to be confident with my body and appearance. Look in the mirror and be satisfied...
4) Make true lifestyle changes, not just a diet to lose weight
5) I love the outdoors, but I don't actually take the time to go out. I would like to start making this a commonplace in my life.
Eat a more well balanced diet. I have been writing down what I eat and what I thought was a "healthy diet" is really nothing but carbs. For the workout, I am just going to aim for getting 30 mins of cardio/strength in 3 days a week to start. Then I will work it up to 5 days a week.
I really really really need to drink more water.
I am 26 years old, and I am a graduate student workin on getting my PhD in cancer biology. I seem to be lacking in the area of motivation and self discipline when it comes to being healthy.
Fav books: I love to read. Anything C.S. Lewis, the Harry Potter books, The Micah Judgement, Redeeming Love, Flabbergasted series, Twilight of course! ..and expectedly anything science.
Fav. Movies: I love love love movies!
