Hey. I'm Lia Lee, 24, I love music, horses and strength training. I also love food and eat LOTS of food - I believe you can eat and still have a fit healthy body! Not eating enough is terrible for weight loss in my experience.

I'm now working on adding muscle tone, as well as working on getting another part of me healthy... my mind!

I am a lifelong loner, and sufferer of anxiety, bad self image and lack of self-esteem... I am trying to get myself out of my hermit shell (because I hate it - I am a social creature at heart) and find a happy place in the world.

I'm planning to create some goals that will probably relate to self-acceptance, studying, socialising, work and hobbies. I'm not sure yet what they will be - for now I'm just tracking my state of mind and my attempt to get out there and spend time with other people. (So talk to me!! Yes YOU! I am friendly and I would love to get to know people on here - I am constantly inspired by sparkpeople and always keen to meet new people!)

Here's to ordering a salad when you really want a burger.
Here's to making an ass out of yourself in combat cardio class.
Here's to drinking more water than you thought was possible.
Here's to 5 more minutes on the elliptical.
Here's to working out twice as much as your skinny friend.
Here's to saying see you later to the old you
& falling in love with the new, improved, healthier you,
The you that you really are,
The you that you are becoming.
Here's to looking in the mirror or jumping on the scale
Seeing no changes
BUT
Putting on your Nike's & hitting the gym anyways.
Here's to carrots & shin splints & sweatshirts & perseverance
& sore muscles & stinky socks & 7am Yoga class
&falling down & getting back up.
