*********
I love to scrapbook, crochet and I love to swim.

I was dad's main caretaker and also his patient advocate - dad passed away last July. I MISS him so much!

I LOVE Detroit Redwing Hockey and Tiger Baseball teams!

I just celebrated my 6th year sparkversary!

Six years on Spark fighting through major and minor health issues along way - may have detoured me on my journey to losing weight but it has never waylaid me to leave spark. I continue to Spark on through it all - learning new ways to gain health. I have left 6 specialists in the medical field - woohoo! and I have gained so much health!

I have had thirteen surgeries/procedures - eight within the last 9 years. I have a left ankle impairment - I was hit by a drunk driver 16 years ago.

I don't make resolutions. I make commitments to myself, knowing that along the pathway to health, I will take many detours on this journey.

I do have goals I strive to meet.

I have learned that I have to be willing to give and to take, push and to shove, fighting my way - full blast head first through conflict, defeat, and sometimes even despair. But, always on my way I go.

I know that my God, well He is limitless. I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength. I shall overcome and I shall not give in.

One health issue after another, does not get me down, it builds me up.

Come back soon.. I change my theme often!

emoticon Good morning and Happy Weekend.. Today's inspiration comes from Kurdish Saying:

The root of all health is in the brain. The trunk of it is in emotion. The branches and leaves are the body. The flower of health blooms when all parts work together.

So here's hoping your flowers of health bloom brightly! Have an emoticon Saturday, weekend and journey into healthy living! emoticon emoticon

emoticon Just stopping by to share a Chinese Proverb with you on this dreary emoticon day:

“Be not afraid of growing slowly; be afraid only of standing still.”
So, here is wishing you a day of moving forward no matter how slowly it may be. Stay focused, emoticon emoticon Have an emoticon emoticon emoticon
