Hi there,

just stopping by to say hello and see you are doing and how your fitness and wellness journey is going? I noticed in your last two blogs written earlier this month you had asked for a response around the fact that after adding strength training you weren't losing as much weight, and also what to do if you overeat and consume way too many calories one day.....

Well if you overeat one day, the only thing to do is to first of all try to go for a walk that evening which will make you feel better.

Secondly and most importantly the only thing to do is to begin again the next day and don't even give it a second thought. If you get caught up in thinking negative thoughts that will not help. Every day is a new day and an opportunity!

And on the day you overeat you can also do small positive steps to prepare for the new day ahead of you (TOMORROW) and can go get some vegetables and fruits and other healthy groceries if you don't already have them. Lay out your exercise clothes/shoes etc. so they are ready to go the next morning (if you work out in the morning) or unless you sleep in them. And you can try meditatiing for a few minutes too or a bath with essential oils to soothe your body and reconnect with yourself. I know these things may seem really obvious to you but I'm pointing them out because by doing small positive steps we make ourselves feel better and a journey begins with a single step.

Regarding the strength training and the fact that after you started it you haven't been losing as much weight....are you measuring your inches lost with a measuring tape or by how your clothes fit? I wouldn't worry what the scale is saying because perhaps you are losing fat and gaining muscle (muscle is heavier) but if you are losing inches and your dress size is going down, isnt' that great? Do you feel healthier and stronger?
